The Challenge
The challenge of continuing to grow and expand a company like Kalibrate is the complexity of roles and locations as well as an increase in demand generated by additional clients.
Whilst Kalibrate’s HQ is in Manchester, UK they have an extensive North American and more recently are growing their Australian-based APAC team, adding to the need to understand different markets as well as a need for a consistent workflow that could be easily understood wherever you were in the world.
The Solution
Given Kalibrate’s global hiring needs, we knew we had to quickly establish a standardised, yet flexible, recruitment process that followed our proven methodology. Having a sound recruitment framework in place meant that we could smoothly run processes in tandem while making quick iterations when necessary.
Initially deploying a Lead Talent Partner to establish workflow, and implement the immersive ATS and sourcing tools we then built out a ‘core’ team of talent partners and talent sourcers to cover the UK. Once established immersive added a talent partner to cover US hiring and drive stakeholder management locally.
Working with the client team on a quarterly forecasting basis the team shape and size continue to change in line with business demand.
The Result
Since the start of our engagement in 2021, the immersive team has built a hiring capacity capable of hiring 90 per year and is expected to grow in 2023. The main target of reducing agency usage and spending has been largely successful with immersive’s average cost of hire now 25% of an equivalent agency hire but with full end-to-end management of the process.
By taking full ownership of Kalibrate’s recruitment process, immersive’s talent partners have been able to provide continuous data insights, performance tracking and more so that Kalibrate can make significant cost savings, reinvesting in their own internal teams around learning and the wider people function.
What is really working for Kalibrate is the level of hiring manager engagement, bringing a true ‘team approach’ to hiring, increasing quality and subsequent reduction in attrition. The fully flexible approach allowed the immersive team to grow and then reduce when demand reduced, something that Kalibrate had never managed to achieve before.
immersive now manages all of Kalibrate’s hiring and is engaging with hiring managers to gauge performance and continuously improve the delivered experience for candidates and the business.
